Our Founder
In 2022, Shaunté Kinch founded Empact Global, to help organizations solve really BIG problems. Her 20+ years spent implementing Six Sigma, LEAN and design thinking concepts have inspired her to take on “wicked problems” in a “VUCA” (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) world.
Thus, Empact Global, where empathy and innovation create greatness through collaboration, was born. Kinch, backed by a capable team of experts in niche fields, is tackling issues related to health, education, racism, housing, and the environment. She has seen and experienced, first-hand, the consequences of inequity in various industries. And has made it her mission to ensure others have access to basic human rights and better experiences overall.
Kinch transforms organizations’ complex challenges into practical and sustainable solutions. Her unique approach, includes helping to solve systemic issues through a diversity, equity and inclusion lens.
Originally trained by Shingijustu (pioneers of the Toyota Production System) she has educated over 2800 people in continuous improvement and innovation, led hundreds of workshops and coached more than 60 leaders.
Through her leadership, organizational cultures have been transformed, leaders developed, and lives saved. Her work has resulted in increased safety, higher stakeholder satisfaction and significant cost reduction for client organizations.
Empact Global works with organizations to customize a solution that meets their specific needs. There are no cookie cutter approaches there. And all of the work is done through the application of empathetic human-centered design and problem-solving methodologies. Kinch also applies knowledge of service and experience design to turnaround failing businesses and restore vitality through innovation.
Kinch first applied design priciples early on in her career when she was a mechanical engineer in aerospace and defense. Coupling these methodologies with the human-centered design framework produces innovation like no other. Add a little empathy, and you and your partner, Empact Global, just might change the world.
With a yearning to do more, especially for organizations with a shared mission to positively impact the world in very meaningful ways, Kinch started Empact Global.
Kinch holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and Masters of Engineering, Design and Manufacturing, both from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. She also holds certificates in Project Management, Systems Engineering, Entrepreneurship and Executive Leadership. She was recognized as a Working Mother of the year in 2020 and most recently won the Black Leadership Award from the Profiles in Diversity Journal.
